Residents will need to bring their own clean containers such as jugs to fill with water.
Beginning Friday, San Antonio Water System is opening seven water distribution locations across the city at its pump stations to provide customers with water.
Customers will be allowed five gallons of water per person. As a precaution, the water should be boiled before drinking or used in cooking, mirroring the current boil water notice advisory for the city.
Friday’s hours will be 12 to 6 p.m. After that, the SAWS distribution sites’ operating hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day to assist customers still experiencing a loss of water service. The sites will be open until the water system is back to normal operating conditions.
Customers are asked to adhere to all COVID-19 precautions such as wearing a mask and maintaining at least six feet of physical distance.
Customers should expect that long wait lines are possible.
To further assist customers, the City of San Antonio will also be setting up separate bottled water distribution sites throughout the city, as well as the San Antonio Food Bank. More information on that program is coming soon.

Los sitios de distribución de agua abrirán el viernes
Los residentes deberán traer sus propios recipientes limpios, como jarras, para llenar con agua.
A partir del viernes, San Antonio Water System abrirá siete ubicaciones de distribución de agua en toda la ciudad en sus estaciones de bombeo para proporcionar agua a los clientes.
A los clientes se les permitirá cinco galones de agua por persona. Como precaución, el agua debe hervirse antes de beberla o usarse para cocinar, reflejando el aviso actual de hervir el agua para la ciudad.
El horario del viernes será de 12 a 6 pm después de eso, el horario de funcionamiento de los sitios de distribución de SAWS será de 8 a.m. a 6 p.m. todos los días para ayudar a los clientes que aún se encuentran sin servicio de agua. Los sitios estarán abiertos hasta que el sistema de agua vuelva a las condiciones de funcionamiento normales.
